IRIS — Beyond Sustainability
Faculty

Practitioners first. Professors second.

IRIS faculty run sustainability strategy, deploy AI, negotiate across borders and lead systems change inside real organisations — and teach at SMU, INSEAD, UCL, HEC Paris, NUS, CEDEP and Sciences Po. They bring the cases, the numbers and the scars.

Arnaud Blandin is a strategist at the intersection of sustainability, technology and impact measurement. He has dedicated his career to integrating sustainability into the core strategies of corporations, private equity firms and startups — helping them drive both profitability and positive environmental and social impact.

With over 20 years of global experience, Arnaud has worked with Fortune 500 companies, investment funds and innovation hubs, spearheading initiatives in the circular economy, energy transition, AI-driven sustainability solutions and impact finance. His engagements include ENGIE, Michelin, Johnson & Johnson, Eurofins, Oracle, Tikehau Capital, EDB and Temasek, helping them navigate ESG regulation, CSRD compliance and sustainable business transformation.

He is the author of The 7 Principles of a Sustainable Company (Palgrave Macmillan), the framework that anchors every IRIS programme, and has developed pioneering methods to identify and quantify the environmental and social impacts of human activities. He is an adjunct professor at Singapore Management University and a guest lecturer at INSEAD, HEC Paris, SKEMA and CEDEP.

Agnes is a policy-wonk-turned-designer who has spent nearly three decades in the engine rooms of the Singapore Government, industry and international networks — across defence diplomacy, labour policy, community organisation and social welfare, public-service transformation, land transport and industry development. That experience gives her a first-hand understanding of what organisations actually need to build capability and confidence in tackling complex problems.

She has repeatedly done things that had not been done before: hands-on design work on attachment with IDEO in San Francisco, setting up the Singapore public service's first in-house design team, championing design-led transformation across government, and then stepping into what is possibly the world's first role of Design Ambassador for a nation. She founded MindTheSystem in 2021 to offer clear, practical approaches to change through systems thinking, futures foresight and human-centred design.

Agnes has trained over 700 executives across 13+ countries in complexity management, design thinking and systems thinking, with clients including the Singapore Government, ST Engineering, EY Design Studio (US), The Equity Initiative and CEDEP (Centre Européen d'Éducation Permanente). She sits on the Board of Directors of the School of Design, University of Cergy-Pontoise. She holds a First Class BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford, an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago and an Advanced Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching. She is based in Paris.

Justin is a senior advisor supporting organisations across AI education, strategy and transformation. He is an adjunct associate professor at UCL and a guest lecturer at INSEAD and AIT, working to bridge theoretical and practical applications of AI.

A thought leader and speaker on people-first technology transformations, Justin has worked with organisations including Holland & Barrett, Bupa, Merck, the NHS, Kearney, 3i Group and Caledonia Investments. He co-leads the AI build track of the IRIS Decision Lab, where participants ship a working prototype around a real sustainability question.

Sorouch leads sustainability strategy and digital solutions across Schneider Electric, a €35bn global energy-technology company. He has built circular-economy programmes and AI-powered optimisation platforms that generate measurable business value.

He teaches at INSEAD and NUS, and brings the Schneider Electric cases that anchor the Adapt / Thrive / Catalyse session of the IRIS Decision Lab.

During his tenure he launched and developed the business in India and many other countries, and is credited with creating first-time primary eye-care access for over 500 million people in low- and middle-income countries. He is a well-known corporate intrapreneur and an expert in emerging markets.
